Workshop Imagine - RILEM and Climate change

Scope of the event: Expanding upon the success of the 2013 Brussels workshop, we are thrilled to unveil the forthcoming Workshop Imagine - RILEM and Climate Change. This in-person event will take place on Saturday 24 August 2024 in Toulouse, France, preceding the RILEM Week that will start on 25 August.

With the enthusiastic involvement of RILEM officers and members, this workshop represents a unique opportunity to contribute to the future of RILEM, an association driven from the bottom up.

Schedule of the day:

• 9:00 - 12:30: Onsite working groups.
• 12:30 - 14:30: Lunch.
• 14:30 – 17:00: Restitution of debates (mixed mode).

Topics: Imagine the RILEM community with a reduced climate change impact. What is your vision for a sustainable RILEM in the future? How can RILEM work in ten years from now?

 1.      How to have RILEM events for the community with limited carbon footprint? Imagine RILEM with a reduced transportation footprint?

1.1.    Imagine the perfect RILEM online spring meeting.

1.2.    Imagine an onsite event with lower impact?

2.       How to rationalize our contribution to society and how to communicate the result of our work / TCs outputs?

2.1.    How do we make sure that RILEM outputs are useful for climate transition?

2.2.    How to better interact with other international societies working in the same areas?

2.3.    Imagine the impact of RILEM on a larger audience
